Bout time!!!! I almost had a nervous break down!
I made it!!! Woo-hoo! I flew all the way to Thailand, 30+ travel hours, and I stuck with the challenge. I was really nervous about my ability to find food I could get through airline security or buy at an airport that would last me 30+ hours. I brought apples and kiwi fruits (wasn’t sure if I’d get them on but nobody stopped me so that was a plus), string cheese (which started to taste funny so I only ate two of them before I threw the rest out), pistachios and pecans, some fruit leather I found that was 100% no-sugar-added-fruit, and some bars I found, Larabars, that are all dates, nuts, fruit. I started my first day with an omelet, I had one meal on one of the flights where I cleaned the chicken breast of all the curry sauce, I checked their juice before I drank any, and I made it!!!! And then, the first thing I did when I got in was hit the gym so I could get my workout in. Hillary gave me some travel workouts. My boss and I (Wendy, Hillary’s met her, she’ll be coming back to crossfit after we get back) did the 10 rounds of 10push-ups/10sit-ups/10squats. My time was 19:33, hers was 19:42. So excited that this challenge is almost over. But even more excited that I managed to not let this work trip become an excuse to chuck it all. In fact it helped and I only hope I can keep myself going when the thought of the challenge isn’t there to prod me.
Nichole,
You are amazing! That is so awesome you are sticking with the challenge. Wow, traveling and trying to eat healthy is the most difficult task I have encountered while trying to eat better. Hang in there girl, I know you can do it. Give yourslef a pat on the back, you deserve it. I am so proud of you, hope to see you soon.
Nice job Nichole! That takes some serious planning and determination to make it through a very long flight. That’s awesome!!! Good luck on your trip!
Great job Nichole! You have come so far and it’s amazing to watch you change and get stronger everyday!
Congrats Nichole…that is awesome. you’re almost done =)
